Do you do a deposit?
To secure your booking we do a non-refundable 20% upfront and the rest a week or so before the wedding day. However, due to COVID reasons, if you postpone your date because of a lockdown and we cannot do your new date we will refund your entire deposit.
Do you meet with us before the wedding?
I plan to meet each of my couples for a coffee (or something stronger ;)) around 3 - 5 weeks before the wedding day. We chat through expectations of the day, what you expect from me and what I should expect on your day. I will also ask what is important for you to have me capture, as well as my style as a videographer on the wedding day. It's important for me to not feel like a stranger to you, so it's a good time for some bants!
Do we have a choice when it comes to music?
Unfortunately, I can't use Taylor Swift or Ed Sheeran, etc. for your wedding video or I will be sued, so what I do is choose music from my licensing site after feeling the vibe of your day, and will give you options out of 5 - 8 songs. If you dislike the songs I keep looking! It's super important for me to find a song that you guys like - it's your video and I want you guys to enjoy it! In our videography meeting, I usually ask what your favourite tunes are so I can cater to you as a couple.
What's your turn-around time with the videos?
Depending on the time of year, I give around 1 - 5 months. I am also transparent as to where I am in my editing schedule if you wish to know at any point, and I'll make sure you get some previews to get you through the wait!
What happens if you can't film our wedding? What if you get sick?
In the rare case I cannot personally film your wedding, I have second shooters whom I trust and have shot for years ready to fill in for me if I am unable. I will always be able to edit your film.
Do we have a say in the final edit?
I would appreciate it if you watched a fair few of our recent videos to get a realistic idea of what our films entail. At our videography meeting, you can outline some preferences (some brides want to hear their vows at the beginning, some like speeches more etc.) However, if you wish to outline edits after the film is made I do charge extra which will be outlined in your contract.
Can we have a downloadable version of our film?
Although I do not do wooden USB sticks anymore - I upload all your videos onto Vimeo with a downloadable button available for your own downloads.
